On ghosting

Definitely ghosting a party is the way to go. But you still have to be able to perform goodbyes when you are the only guest. I left an old friend’s house yesterday and was reminded of how good they are at goodbyes. They say bye. Not any of the meaningless multisyllabic monologues. After one of their byes you feel loved and thanked for coming and cleared to leave without further ado. I want to be good at that.
