Corporal punishment with children is never a good option

In the United States, it is against the law to hit prisoners, criminals or other adults. Ironically, the only humans it is still legal to hit are the most vulnerable members of our society – those we are charged to protect – children.

Not having children of my own, many of the conversations I had in the past with people who were spanking their kids for corrective purposes, often ended up as a clash of opinions. And we all know that arguments not based on facts, end up reinforcing each participant’s opinion without any real progress for anybody.

I’m glad that there are studies that clarify how wrong is to accept corporal punishments with children.
